Sri Jagannatha Das

Jagannatha Dasa was one of the greatest saints and devotional poets of Odisha. In his transcendental state, he saw no distinction based on external form or gender, bringing the stories of the divine wherever they were sought. He reshaped the religious and literary culture of Odisha with the Bhagabata, an Odia-language rendering of the Bhagavata Purana that made these sacred teachings accessible to all.
