Sri Srimad 108 Sachinandan Das Babaji, lovingly known as Sri Baya Baba (1899–1981), was a saint of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition whose life was woven with the music of the Holy Name. Baya Baba’s mission was singular and luminous: the unbroken chanting of God’s Name (Akhanda Nama Sankirtana). He believed the Name itself was God in motion, the most direct path to awakening in this age of Kali. His ashrams, especially the Sri Kalpataru Akhanda Nama Bhawan in Puri, became centers where the Divine Name resounded without pause, and where all were welcomed in love, regardless of station. Simple, humble, and hidden from worldly acclaim, he radiated silent joy and peace. His presence alone was teaching, his life itself an offering.
