Mataji earned the title Pancha Tirtha for mastery of five branches of Vedic knowledge and was honored as Vedanta Saraswati, recognizing her deep realization of Vedantic truth. Sri Sri Radha Kalachand Bhagwan, gifted to her by the saint Shri Ananda Mayi Ma, became the living center of her devotion and later the heart of her ashram. The two saints shared deep love and respect; Ganga Maiji served for years as Dean at the Ananda Mayi Mata Kanya Peeth in Kankhal, and Ananda Mayi Ma regarded her as a daughter, once staying three days at her ashram to fulfill a promise. She embodied the Guru–Shishya ideal, following every adesh of her Guru Kathiya Baba with unwavering fidelity. Widowed after only one year of marriage, she embraced lifelong celibacy, dedicating herself wholly to service and the path of bhakti.
