Mahant Sri Mukunda Acharya Swāmi

Mahant Sri Mukunda Acharya Swāmi belonged to a rare generation of Himalayan saints, hidden in a mountain cave for six decades. Born in 1920, he became a renunciant at a young age. In Vrindavan, he met his guru, Śrī Gopāl Ācārya of the historic Govardham Bara Katla lineage. Following his guru's adesh, he went to the Himalayas, where he remained in his cave and served as a Mahant at the Badrinath temple. He attained samadhi on July 5th, 2016.
