Sri Sevagiri Maharaj

Shri Sevagiri Maharaj was born in the Rajput family at Junagadh in Gujarat . At the age of 7 , Shri Purnagiri Maharaj started teaching the boy . He gave the knowledge of Yoga , Asanas , Pranayama , Meditation , Samadhi etc Similarly he taught the practice of sanyasa too . After visiting many pilgrimage places , both Purnagiri Maharaj and Sevagiri Maharaj came to live on Mount Girnar in Junagadh . After confirming that the disciple was ready , he sent Sevagiri Maharaj to Pusegaon . He created social awareness in people . He helped people in their developments like digging wells , building dams , planting trees , spreading education etc . He took samadhi on 10th Jan 1948 .
