ChildSri Vijay Krishna Goswami
Śrī Vijaya Krishna Gosvāmi was the husband of Yogmaya Devi, an incarnation of the divine mother. He was born in the sacred lineage of Advaitācārya, and from childhood he shared a mystical bond with the deity Shyāmasundara. But as a young man he embraced the reformist Brahmo Samaj, rejecting form, ritual, and the personal God. But Shyāmasundara never left him. In a profound vision, the Lord lovingly coaxed him back to bhakti, convincing him to make new gold ornaments and melting the heart of the Advaitin forever. Guided by his Satguru, Brahmānanda Paramahaṁsa, Vijaya Krishna eventually attained the highest states of devotion in Vrindavan. He taught Ajapa Sādhana—mantra meditation with the breath—and promoted the Name of God as the true path in Kali Yuga. Through his guidance, countless disciples were also elevated to sainthood.
