Ramani Mohan Chakrabarti, later known as Bholanath, was the husband and devoted spiritual companion of the renowned Bengali saint Anandamayi Ma. Although married, their relationship remained celibate. The name “Bholanath,” was given to him by Anandamayi Ma herself. Far from being a conventional husband, he gradually assumed the role of a disciple and constant companion. He lived alongside her in various places and remained closely connected to her spiritual life and unfolding presence. Later in life, he spent considerable time with her in Kankhal near Haridwar, where Anandamayi Ma established a more permanent residence. There, Bholanath also came to be respected and venerated in his own right.
