Paramahamsa Yogananda is the author of Autobiography of a Yogi. This classic text introduced thousands in the West to the very real miracles of spirituality - a reminder that the ancient tradition of the yogis is not a thing of the past but a living, breathing phenomenon that invites all sincere seekers deeper into themselves today. Yogananda himself brought the techniques of Kriya Yoga, the ancient science of God-realization, to the West and initiated a hundred thousand Kriya yogis in his lifetime alone. He founded the Yogoda Satsanga Society of India and the Self-Realization Fellowship, both thriving arteries of the yogic tradition to this day.
