Sri Pritam Das Swami
Pritamdas, the blind saint-poet of Gujarat, moved through the world without building anything formal—no institution, no system, no fixed identity. Taken in as a child by wandering sadhus, he spent his life singing, teaching, and translating scripture into something lived. Surrounded by singers, his words traveled further than he did. Stories gathered around him—of rain summoned in drought, of elephants raised from dead, of sight without eyes, of quiet transformations—but his focus never shifted. After his passing, temples, songs, and stories remained. And with them, the sense that what he carried did not end—it simply continued, in other voices.
