Sri Param Pujya Sri Mangal Nath Bapu
In the village of Satapar in Jamnagar district lived a farmer, Ranmalbhai Gojiya. In his humble home was born a restless child named Somat. Stubborn and mischievous from the start, Somat lost one eye in childhood. Uninterested in books, he learned instead from the fields. As a young man he married a woman from the Ahirani community and became a father. For a time life was ordinary, but inner unrest returned. Finding worldly life hollow, Somat chose renunciation. When his wife tried to stop him, he committed a shocking act—severing his own private organ with a sickle—and walked away toward a yogic life.
