Sri Namdev Maharaj

Sant Namdev was one of the great poet-saints of the Bhakti movement and a central figure of the Varkari tradition of Pandharpur. Born to humble devotees of Lord Vitthala, his life is remembered not for scholarship or power — but for pure, childlike devotion. Tradition tells us that his first spoken word was “Vitthala,” and from that moment, divine love shaped his entire path. As a child, he wept until God accepted his offering.
