Sri Milk Baba
Milk Baba, or Doodh Dhari Baba, was a Nepalese sadhu who lived a life shaped by extreme discipline and quiet devotion. Born near Kathmandu in 1933, he left home at eighteen and entered the path of Ram bhakti, undertaking decades of austerities—pilgrimage, isolation, and long vows of tapas. But he is best known for a more unusual austerity: sustaining himself solely on milk for decades. Devotees were drawn by the unique tapas, but they stayed for the power of his presence and his bhakti for Lord Ram. Through soul stirring bhajans and inspired satsang on the leela of Ram, he changed the lives of countless followers around the world. Today, this is what they remember more than the milk.
