Sri Mahendra Das Baba

In his youth, Mahendra Baba had repeated visions and encounters with Haidakhan Babaji - who was yet to manifest on Earth. After 25 years, he was guided back to the Kumaon hills, where Babaji appeared to him once more in a locked room within a remote mountain ashram. Following this experience, Mahendra Baba dedicated himself to preparing for Babaji’s return to the world in human form. For years, he traveled across India proclaiming Babaji’s return and describing his future appearance, including identifying marks such as scars on his right leg and left arm. He declared that Babaji would appear in 1970. He restored ancient ashrams and temples, built new places of worship, and established devotional practices that later became part of Babaji’s tradition.
