Born with radiant purpose, Mataji became the successor of Upasani Baba, leading the Sakori Ashram and re-establishing the right of women to perform Vedic rites against great opposition. Though she went through severe hardship, she was never caught in them — all was divine lila, lived to teach the path of surrender. When asked when exactly she attained bliss or self-realization, she replied simply, “There was never a moment when I did not have it.”
