Shri Gangagiri Maharaj was raised in a spiritual environment. By twelve, he was giving discourses and attracting followers. The turning point came when he met the saint Shri Lakshmangiri Maharaj. This deeply influenced him. He later found his guru, Nathbaba, and was initiated into the Nath tradition. Following his guru’s guidance, he performed intense sadhana and became known as Yogiraj. He resolved to serve humanity and traveled widely to understand social issues during British and Nizam rule.
