Sri Paramahamsa Sachidananda Yogishwarar Guruji was born to devotees of Lord Shiva. He studied in Kanchipuram and, following his parents’ wishes, married Perundevi, a devotee of Lord Krishna. After his wife’s passing, he embraced Sanyasa at the age of 47 and attained mastery in yoga. Known for miracles and deep spiritual insights, he authored works on Vedanta, Upanishads, and Puranas, and traveled widely across India and abroad, including Singapore, Malaysia, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, and South Africa. He was famed for lecturing in padmasana while floating on water (Jalastambha) and entered long states of meditation, including 366 days in 1941.
