Sri Narasimha Saraswati (born 1378-1459) was a Hindu saint, believed to be an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya, who lived in 14th and 15th century Maharashtra and Karnataka. Born with the name Narahari or Shaligramadeva, he was a child prodigy who quickly mastered the Vedas. He renounced his worldly life at a young age, traveled extensively, and spent the last decades of his life in Gangapur (in present-day Karnataka), where he is believed to have entered samadhi. His life story is detailed in the text Shri Guru Charitra and he is highly revered by many devotees.
