Tradition
Bhagwan Swaminarayan was the founder of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya. Born as Ghanshyam in eighteenth-century India, he walked out of childhood and into legend. By eleven, he had renounced home. By his early twenties, he was guiding thousands. In a land fractured by superstition, violence, and social decay, he did not conquer with armies or arguments. He reformed hearts. He built mandirs. He restored discipline. He insisted on moral living, devotion, and compassion. To his followers, he was not merely a reformer or saint. He was God walking barefoot across Gujarat.
