Sri Avatar Digambar Bhagavan moved to an ashram near Nellore founded by Sitá Maa and Adi Lakshmi. Living there for 60 years, he practiced naked, silent asceticism for 40 of them, communicating only in writing and surviving mainly on milk. A devoted follower of Ramana Maharshi, he met him a few times in Tiruvannamalai, which left him deeply transformed. Since 1960, the ashram has kept a lamp burning and continuous mahamantra chanting. After his passing, his body was placed in the ocean, 7 km offshore. His teachings centered on Pūrṇa Advaita—complete non-dualism—affirming the universe as Narayana.
